International Environment Day 2025 Celebrated at Dhamma Aid Foundation HQ in Collaboration with Assam Rifles

Dhamma Aid Foundation HQ, Near Kaisu, Namsai | June 5, 2025 — The Dhamma Aid Foundation, in collaboration with the Assam Rifles (Indian Army), marked International Environment Day 2025 with a series of impactful events and environmental initiatives at its headquarters near Kaisu, Namsai.

The celebration began with a tree plantation drive involving local youth, Assam Rifles personnel, monks, and foundation volunteers. Over 500 saplings of indigenous species were planted to promote ecological balance and green cover in the region.

In a joint address, officials from both the Dhamma Aid Foundation and Assam Rifles emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in combating climate change and preserving natural resources. Educational sessions on sustainable practices, biodiversity conservation, and waste management were also held for students and community members.

“This collaboration is a step towards strengthening civil-military cooperation in addressing global challenges like environmental degradation,” said a spokesperson from Assam Rifles. The event concluded with a community pledge to uphold environmental values and continue efforts toward a cleaner, greener future.
