The Dhamma Aid Foundation, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, is a registered organization under Societies Registration Act. 1860, and one of the active Buddhist charitable organization of India was established by the blessings of Late Most Venerable Indavansa Mahathera (former Sangha Nayaka of Arunachal Pradesh Bhikkhu Sangha), founder president of Dhamma Aid Foundation, Kaisu. in 2018. Since then it has ventured many humanitarian service activities based on the need of the local people.
The main objective of Dhamma Aid Foundation Organization is to put into practice the Buddha’s teachings through various humanitarian services. Since then, there has been remarkable development in activities of the Dhamma Aid Foundation, Kaisu, Namsai and other places. Dhamma Aid Foundation was established to run the educational, Shelter Home, Healthcare programs and other humanitarian services without distinction of any religion, cast, colour or race.
Arunachal Pradesh is a culturally diverse and environmentally rich state of India. Two districts, namely Changlang and Namsai are mainly populated by Theravada Buddhists where as in the western district of Tawang and West Kameng are mainly populated by Vajrayana Buddhist. Dhamma Aid Foundation being charitable organization is already running Monastic institution in Namsai district preserving the age-old traditional culture in accordance with the wishes of the local people. On the request of the public and leaders of Namsai area Dhamma Aid Foundation has decided to develop and run De-Addiction centers, Mobile Medical Units services, Old Age/ shelter home and holistic educational institution etc. in Namsai so that people of Namsai and nearby districts are benefited. The peace-loving people of Arunachal Pradesh deserve a good educational institution of moral and higher learning.

The SMILE scheme was launched on 12 February 2022. SMILE aims to provide comprehensive support and rehabilitation to marginalized individuals through various measures, such as welfare support, medical facilities, counseling, education, skill development, and economic opportunities. The primary objective is to alleviate beggary by creating opportunities for sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurship. The scheme endeavors to empower beggars and disrupt the cycle of beggary
